CFSS Services
Community First Services and Supports (CFSS, formerly PCA) help people with daily activities at home and in the community. Marsin is a CFSS agency-provider.
The agency model
Marsin hires, trains, and supervises the support workers. The participant chooses their worker and directs their daily support.
The budget model
The participant or their representative is the employer of their support workers. A separate financial management services (FMS) provider handles payroll and taxes. Marsin is not an FMS provider.
Marsin serves participants under both the agency model and the budget model. Call 888-439-5801 to talk through which model fits.
How to start
A MnCHOICES assessment determines whether a person’s needs qualify for CFSS; the person must also be eligible for Medical Assistance or another qualifying program. Each participant also chooses an independent consultation services provider from the MNDHS list.
